The photographers behind VP Photography
VIX!
Hi I am Vix, born and bred in the Lancing and Worthing area in 1979, I know this beautiful part of Sussex like the back of my hand!
I’ve been married since 2009, have two teenage children, two dogs, and a head full of ideas! Before turning my passion for photography into my business, I ran a successful medical recruitment company. Although I loved the challenge, I wanted something more creative that truly made my heart sing. And so, VP Photography was born in 2012!
Creativity has always been part of my life. I went to university to study music, was a professional trumpet player and a semi-professional violinist and viola player, and still love sitting down at my piano whenever I get the chance. These days, I also enjoy painting with oil pastels and exploring different creative outlets.
I’m passionate about my volunteering role spending time with the wonderful adults at Superstar Arts, supporting their creativity through art-based activities. I believe everyone deserves to feel valued, included and celebrated, and that belief is a huge part of how I approach my photography.
My Passions, Quirks & Random Obsessions!
When I’m not photographing weddings, couples, families or individuals across Worthing and Sussex, you’ll probably find me reading a good thriller. I love a good whodunnit, especially books by Freida McFadden and Harlan Coben.
My music taste? Completely eclectic! One minute it’s Radiohead, then McFly, Sade, Il Divo or Mozart’s Requiem Mass. There’s no predicting what will be playing in my house!
II’m also obsessed with historic buildings, particularly ancient castles, crumbling ruins and places with fascinating stories to tell. They’re wonderful locations for photography, too, especially for couples looking for something a little different.
And just so you know, my ultimate dream is to own a Highland cow. In my next life, I’m fairly certain I’d like to come back as an otter. Don’t ask me why – it just feels right!
